Red Carpet Trend: Lobs at the 2017 SAG Awards
Spotted on the SAG Awards red carpet, the long bob is continuing to have a Hollywood moment. See Gio’s tips to get the beachy bedhead long bob look seen on stars like Kirsten Dunst and Rashida Jones.
Get-the-Look: This whimsical long bob is a true, tousled wave and should not be a defined curl. Start by rough drying hair with a Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer, smoothing out the crown as you dry. Then, using a round brush with the dryer, twist large sections of hair in all different directions, making sure to leave the ends out. Then, using a 1.25-inch curling iron (or wand), take 2-inch sections of hair and wrap them around the barrel, leaving your ends out for a more natural look.
To create the messy, beachy vibe, its key to take an unstructured approach as you wrap hair around your iron in different directions, leaving out ends for added messiness. For ultimate rockstar edge, use pomade to piece out hair and showcase texture. My go-to is Short Mania by Kérastase. Apply a dime-sized amount in your hands, rubbing them together to emulsify the product. Flip head over and run the product through the ends for extra bedhead.
