Glam Crush: Ballerina Erin Fogarty of Dance Against Cancer

April 18, 2018 Lindsey Schickner

We’re currently crushing on Glam mama Erin Fogarty, a talented leader in the world of ballet in NYC, the co-founder of Dance Against Cancer and mother of 10-month-old twins, Patrick and Riley.

Erin was a member of Ballet NY and is currently the Director of Programming for the Manhattan Youth Ballet Faculty. She began Dance Against Cancer with producing partner and longtime friend, Daniel Ulbricht. This annual performance brings together top talent, uniting the dance community around the fight against cancer. Since its’ inception, Dance Against Cancer has raised more than $1M for the American Cancer Society.

Erin (pictured above post-Glam) gives us a sneak peek into her beauty world– her all-time favorite product, daily routine, favorite style and beauty muses.

Who’s your beauty icon? – To be honest, Michelle Obama.  We may have very different looks, but she is an idol/icon for so many reasons.  She manages a whole hell of a lot while still maintaining her poise, grace and an incredible sense of humility. If we are asking who I get told I look like…then it’s Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel.

What’s one product you couldn’t live without? Bye Bye Under Eye from IT Cosmetics and/or waterproof mascara!

What’s your daily beauty routine? Well, with two little ones at home, time is of the essence.  Having time to blowdry my hair after my morning shower is ideal, but often I only have time for a quick ballerina bun 🙂  I usually do my makeup on my way to dropping my kids at daycare or on the subway to work.  That makeup routine ALWAYS includes Chanel face powder, Bye Bye Under eye from IT Cosmetics, Covergirl Waterproof Lash Blast Mascara, and blush and eyeliner, if there’s time.

What hair style and/or makeup look makes you feel most confident? For my hair, a Glamsquad blowout because I am terrible at doing my own and love how my stylist listens to what I want and brings it to life.  As for makeup, a strong eye, and the rest can fall into place. I absolutely loved my most recent Glamsquad makeup look! (pictured above)

Dance Against Cancer’s 2018 event is scheduled for May 7th at Lincoln Center – learn more and get tickets to the show here!
