What’s Trending: Fall Beauty Refresh

September 19, 2019 Lindsey Schickner

As you swap your sundresses for sweaters and iced coffee for pumpkin spice, now’s the time to give your beauty regime a fall-ready refresh!

This fall, it’s all about timeless but bold beauty looks. Think amped up liner, blush, gloss, bold braids and retro waves. See below for tips and tricks from our Artistic Directors, Giovanni Vacarro for hair and Kelli J Bartlett for makeup!

60s-inspired liner is back for graphic and architectural lines that are artistic, fun and eye catching.

Get-The-Look: Begin by prepping the eyelid with a neutral toned, smudge-proof eyeshadow base. Then, using a quick-drying liquid liner, etch out the shape of the eye, using small strokes. I like to use the tips of the eyelashes as a guide. Don’t over think this! You can always clean up the shape with a small q-tip dipped in Lancôme Bi-Facil. Finish with Glamsquad’s Ah-Mazing Setting and Hydrating Mist to keep the look in place.

Get creative with your twists and clips for the ultimate easy-to-create, effortless up-style.

Get-The-Look: Before creating your bun, spray Glamsquad’s In-Between Dry Shampoo and let it sit for one minute to soak up oil and create a little volume at the root. Use an elastic bungee to secure your ponytail in place. For added shine, use Glamsquad’s Essentially Hair Oil in your tail. Grab sections of hair and twist them onto themselves and secure them with hair pins. Use a strong hold hairspray, like Bumble and Bumble’s Strong Finish to keep hair in place.

Think creamy peachy, pink hues on the eyes, lips and cheeks for a modern, monochromatic look.

Get-The-Look: On creamy, matte skin, use a hydrating lipstick to draw out washes of color on the cheeks. Then, use an Artis Oval 6 brush to gently blend onto the apples of the cheeks and upwards near the temples and brow bone. Use the same lipstick or balm to press color into the center of the lips and blend out with your fingertips, using a tapping motion. We love Glamsquad’s Take A Tint Lip Balm in ‘Tint of Rose.’

This timeless, deep side-parted s-wave is reinvented with extra gloss and added accessories.

Get-The-Look: Create a deep side-part and blowdry hair using Glamsquad’s Iconic Blowout Lotion until fully dried into the desired shape. Using a setting spray on each section, take a .75 inch curling iron and wrap hair around the barrel while twisting it. This will give you the slight S-wave shape that makes this wave feel more retro. Pin the indent of your wave down with flat clips to accentuate the shape even more. Brush the style out and lightly tease if needed. Finish with Glamsquad’s Take Hold Flexible Hair Spray.
