Runway Recap: Backstage Beauty at Nicole Miller Spring 2020

November 11, 2019 Taylor Krupinski

Inspired by her recent trip to Tokyo, Nicole Miller’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection was all about bright, bold colors and mesmerizing patterns.

Mirroring the vibrance and warmth of the collection, our Artistic Director, Kelli J. Bartlett, created an equally electric painted eye look. To complete the makeup and offset the striking eye, Kelli focused on clean, no-shine skin, groomed brows and a soft, matte berry lip.

To try this look at home, follow the steps below!

-First, prep skin using Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum, Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream and a hydrating lip balm.

-To perfect the brows, use a clear brow gel to comb up the brows and then filled in the sparse areas with a brow pencil. Finish the brows with a tinted brow gel to create extra fullness.

-For the lashes, curl them and apply Too Faced “Damn Girl” Mascara to the top and bottom, ensuring that they look full and thick with separation to create a “Punk Style” application.

-For liner, use a fluffy synthetic brush to apply Suva Beauty Hydra Liner in “Dance Party” to the middle lid and crease. With the same brush, apply Suva Beauty Hydro Liner in “Acid Trip” to the outer lid and outer crease in a “V” Shape. Then apply the shade “Gilt Trip” from Pat McGrath’s MTHRSHP Sublime Bronze Ambition Palette to the inner corner of the eyes and “Bronze Struck” to the outer corner of the eyes.

-To top off the eye look, use a natural haired brush to apply gold pigment on top to make the look pop.

-To perfect the complexion, apply MAC Face and Body Sheer Coverage Foundation as a base and then Tom Ford’s Shade and Illuminate bronzer in “Intensity 01” on top to sculpt & bronze. Highlight using Glamsquad’s Enlightened Highlighter in “Moonlit”.

-As a final step, apply Glamsquad’s Take a Tint Lip Balm in shade “Tint of Rose” to top off the look.
